I got a new toy – new phone, and started to take a daily photo, usually on my lunch break or whenever. It’s just so easy, nothing bulky to carry. I’ve been doing it for a week, but it did a great deal of good to me. Noticing colour, light,  texture and composing shots comes back so naturally, and I didn’t even realize how much I missed it. Just like drawing every day does good things to my head and perception (but that’s the story for a different post).

The photos are being loaded onto my Flickr photostream. Having tons of fun with photo editing software, which is tiny enough to figure out quick and cool enough to keep you interested in playing… I will try to apply this knowledge to proper Photoshop editing though, once I had enough of vintage filters and rounded corners. I also was generously given a real DSLR (Canon Digital Rebel), and oh my what a sound it makes when taking a picture! Sooooo nice. But again, I’m yet to get used to carrying a real camera with me.
